How to avoid or cure any addiction
Addiction can be managed successfully. It is a brain disorder. These are the out-of-control habits which will make your life miserable and very hard to get rid of. It's also responsible for many health-related issues. Addiction can kill you.

Why Addiction is bad?
1. Use of nicotine and steroid increases the risk of cancer.
2. Addictions like alcohol could damage human organs.
3. It also has psychological effects like depression, anxiety, memory loss, paranoia, psychosis etc.
4. It may ruin your career or desire to achieve your goal.
5. It may cause extreme conditions like suicide, homicide, accident, serious long-term health issues.
6. If you are married, it could lead to divorce or other relationship issues with your family and friends.
7. Addiction could lead to some legal consequences like fines etc.


Remedies:
1. Knowledge: Try to know what are the ill effects of the addiction.This way you will be scared of doing it again. Watch and read stories about the people who died by addiction. List down what negative effects you currently have. Whether it may be any addiction, it will not make you good in any way. It will only make you worse day-by-day. Addiction will affect your health both physically and mentally.

2. Know the Triggers: List out what's making you get into addiction or consume things in which you are addicted. Knowing triggers will help you to make proper plans.

3. Get Help from others: Don't afraid of seeking or getting help from the others like family members, friends etc. You can ask advice from the elder people because they have already gone through your age and know what are the repercussions. Or else contact a therapist who skilled in dealing with addiction-related issues.

4. Slow down the addiction: Instead of cutting off addiction completely, try to slow down the consumption or usage, day-by-day. For example, if you are consuming 10 cigarettes a day, start cutting by 1 cigarette for every 3 days. And get rid of all other objects that are making you addiction.

5. Do other things: If you can't control yourself or have urge, try to distract your mind by doing some busy work or even getting away from the thing which is making you an addict. Develop some new hobbies, focus on that.

6. Stick to the plan: Once you have made the decision of quitting, stick to that plan. Getting rid of an addiction is mentally painful. You might get feeling to start the habit again but don't listen to those kinds of tricks. You have to go through these kinds of pain.

 7. Believe yourself. You can do it.

Suggestion: Getting addicted to something is not cool. Don't ever listen to those freaks who show it as a cool attitude. They are ignorant about their situation.
