Health effects of Obesity:
→ High blood pressure: Having excess body fat makes blood flow difficult in body thus causing increase in Adrenalin. That makes increase in salt retention and blood pressure. More blood flow causes more pressure on artery walls and then increasing the blood pressure. So, overweight raises your heart rate and it lowers blood supply through the vessels.

→ Heart disease: Being overweight increases your blood pressure, lowers your good cholesterol and increases your bad cholesterol leading to heart problems. Usually, obese people have 'Atherosclerosis' (hardening of arteries) ten times more often than any other non-obese people.

→ Type 2 diabetes: Obesity being one of the major cause of Type 2 Diabetes may occur either in childhood or adulthood. The reason why obesity may lead to diabetes is that it causes resistance to insulin and there by elevating your blood sugar level. After that, even a moderate obesity can, dramatically, cause diabetes.

→ Sleep apnea: It is related to the soft tissues of the mouth and the throat which can cause airway to be blocked. It may stop breathing for a short period. It can interrupt the sleep all night.

→ Stroke: Reduced blood flow to the heart can cause chest pain or attacks. And blood cots in arteries can cause stroke.

→ Cholesterol: Obesity lowers good cholesterol level and increases bad cholesterol level in your body.

→ Fitness-related issues: Obesity can lead to joint-related problems. Because of the stress caused by extra weight leads to pain in knees and hips.

Remedies:
Maintaining healthy diet is very much important in eradicating obesity. So, Now only say bye to all kinds of junk and processed foods. Getting rid of obesity takes time and patience. But results will definitely come if you try hard.

1. BMI: First calculate your Body Mass Index and see how much weight you should lose. There are plenty of websites available to calculate the BMI and it needs only two factors i.e height and weight.

2. Lemon juice: For weight loss, you need healthy digestive system. Lemon juice helps in improving digestion and it also eradicates some toxic from your body. Take one cup of water and 3 teaspoons of lemon juice along with one teaspoon honey and one-half black pepper powder. Drink every morning on an empty stomach. Do it for three months.

3. Curry leaves: Curry leaves have 'mahanimbine' which is anti-obese content. And it helps in lowering cholesterol level. Eat 9 - 10 curry leaves daily to fight obesity. You can continue it for 3 months.

4. Green tea: Now let's lose weight in style. There is a content in green tea called epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) which slows down the weight gain process. Drink it for 3 times daily.

5. Tomatoes: Who doesn't like tomatoes? Yes it's tomatoes to the rescue. Eat few tomatoes everyday including the peels and seeds to alter your appetite. Also they contain vitamins and other nutrients.

6. Reduce intake: Reduce your calorie consumption to reduce the weight gain. On average eat around 1500 calories if you are a man and 1300 calories if you are a woman.

7. Hit a fitness program: Do exercise daily or join any fitness program. Try to walk rather than using your vehicle wherever possible. Meet a counselor who is trained in obesity issues.
